Tevin was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. His childhood was spent back and forth between Haughville and Martindale-Brightwood neighborhoods.
Growing up pivotal moments in Tevin's life were the murder of his cousin Antwyn and the life sentencing of his cousin Ralph.
Influenced by all he saw, his parents kept him in church, where his uncle G.E. Studdard was the senior pastor. His uncles faith like preaching kept him on the right path.
Although negativity and pain surrounded Tevin, he gained hope when his cousin Ruben became the first and only African American male to ever win American Idol.
Ruben winning American Idol showed Tevin that success was real. He no longer could use his environment or his family members choices as an excuse to why he could not succeed. He saw a family member on TV, living out their dreams and that was all the motivation he needed.
His work ethic was instilled by his father, (Donald) who Tevin saw go to work everyday and come home to his wife (Lynn) and his sister (Deja)
Like most youth he needed an outlet and found it in football at Crispus Attucks Middle School.
He attended Cathedral High School and Indiana State University where he majored in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.
He has since worked with countless colleges, businesses and organizations across the country.
Tevins vision is to use his voice and platform to help others by providing resources and media outlets to both youth and adults.
Tevin is set to release his Book, Debut Album and Documentary in 2022.
